Originally from the UK, Pippa flew to Australia in 2016 to start her new life down under! She started her recruitment career in Sydney in 2017 with a focus on the Real Estate and Property industry. She later joined the team here at Barton Mills in March 2019 and now recruits Trainee Recruitment Consultants who are looking to transition from a Sales & Customer Service background into an exciting career in Recruitment. Pippa covers all recruitment sectors (including IT, Health, Marketing, Banking, Accounting and Finance & more, so if you’re looking for any guidance on getting your foot in the door, she’s your girl!
I had such a warm welcome to the team at BMR and feel like I’ve been here a lot longer than 8 weeks!! It’s a very close knit team, we all have our own unique personality and react in different ways when we make a placement (e.g – Mark clicks, I twerk). We have a level of maturity to get on with our days work but know how to have a laugh and make it fun at the same time.
In all honesty it feels like I was born to be a rec2rec! Every recruiter, including myself, and clients have started as a Rookie/Trainee recruiter at some point in their career, so using my experiences to help passionate people get into the industry is extremely rewarding. I believe my candidates are the next gen managing directors/business owners and could be my clients one day.
Do your research, smile and wear deodorant.
Before Barton Mills I worked in recruitment servicing the Real Estate and Property industry for approx. 1.5 years.
Sadly, I don’t really have a specific hobby… I tried social netball once but the pivoting gave me toe blisters so I never went back… I like all the typical girly things: hanging out with my friends and my boyfriend, outdoor adventures/coastal walks, movies, dog memes, gym/fitness, bottomless brunches, dining out, travel/weekends and so on..
I would love to work behind the scenes as Videographer for David Attenborough, or a Judge!
I have recently had the wonderful opportunity to work with Pippa. I found her to be a highly effective and proactive individual. I had been wanting to move into recruitment for a long time and thanks to Pippa, it finally happened. Pippa proved that she had good client relationships in the industry, was transparent throughout the whole process and gave good advice along the way. She still keeps in touch to make sure I’m doing well. I would recommend Pippa to anyone looking for a recruitment role in Australia.
